A leading World Health Organization expert testified in a Helsinki courtroom that Covid passports were never actually intended to stop virus transmission, admitting she’d advised her own government against them but was ignored. The case stemmed from a Finnish citizen suing after being denied entry to a cafe simply for not carrying a passport. Russell pointed to similar restrictions in France, where visitors were banned entirely and citizens needed the same passports just to buy food or use public transport, none of which actually worked as intended. He was left with one simple question, if it accomplished nothing, who actually benefited from all of it.
