According to NASA, the March 17, 2026, Ohio bolide created a blast wave that “may have also shaken houses north of Medina,” and reports described rattled buildings and homes, but the event was an airburst with meteorites falling in the Medina County area.
This was a serious event, and in our article, Planet X and the Plan to Save Humanity, we stated, “The 2026 Ohio Bolide is the largest well‑documented space rock to fall over the United States since 2013.”
Of even greater concern is that it was followed by a large and highly irregular pattern of smaller bolides across the country, making March 2026 a month to remember. No wonder this pattern of large rocks falling from the sky is a media event, because what our data shows is what we now call the statistical hockey stick from hell. When you see it, you’ll know why.
However, what is the greater concern is that the entire first quarter of 2026 has set new records across all our fireball datasets, and the question now is: was this the beginning of a new, more ominous trend, or a one-off? The concern is that we are entering a new phase and that many more large bolides will light up our skies in the months ahead.
When we started this series in 2015, we knew that fireball and bolide activity would eventually take a serious turn for the worse, and now we’re concerned that Earth has crossed an ominous threshold that defies any explanation as it being natural variability. With that, let’s dive into the numbers.
March 2026 Fireballs
Fireballs are reported worldwide, and the American Meteor Society is the primary source for this dataset in North America.
AMS Multistate / Country Fireballs
Multistate/country fireballs cross the borders of multiple states and countries. This is a critical category in the dataset because these fireballs must travel long distances to receive reports from across large geographic areas. We refer to these types of fireballs as “skimmers” because they exhibit flat trajectories.
March 2026 is now in first place for this period in this dataset. This is not a narrow statistical margin, but rather, a huge leap upward.

AMS Huge Event Fireballs
It’s common for Multistate/Country Fireballs to be reported as major events because a fireball is considered major when 100 or more eyewitnesses report it. We call them “plungers” because they have a steep trajectory.
March 2026 set an all-time record for this period, with 12 events, requiring us to change the scale to reflect the increase. This is why we call it the statistical hockey stick from hell. This is ominous, and we’re concerned that this trend could continue into Q2 2026.
AMS Monthly Total Fireballs
The monthly total fireballs are the most critical category in this dataset, and March 2026 saw a significant uptick, putting it well ahead of the previous three years.
When considered alongside the other two datasets, the March 2026 monthly numbers show a massive increase for this period. This is a huge statistical increase, and it is concerning because it shows Earth is passing through a dense region of the Nemesis Cloud.

Yearly AMS Fireball Totals
The total number of fireballs for March 2026 exceeds that of 2011 and 2012.
The second quarter of each year is typically when we see the fewest events. Now that we’re in Q2 2026, we’re concerned that the statistical increases across all datasets seen in the March 2026 reporting will continue in this quarter. If so, the risk of a serious impact in the second half of this year will be significant if not deadly as well.
USGS vs. VOLCANO DISCOVERY 2026 YTD
Volcano Discovery is a recognized news portal for earthquake and volcano updates. Volcano Discovery is an adventure tour operator that conducts geotours and volcano tours worldwide, in collaboration with trusted partners. We report data from the USGS and Volcano Discovery, enabling you to view the suppression of data that our government has been conducting for several years.
We view Volcano Discovery as the most credible earthquake reporting agency on the Internet these days, and the drop from January to March of this year is remarkable, especially when compared with the USGS.

According to Volcano Discovery data, March 2026 had a strong increase. However, the USGS, with its data-capping strategy, stayed inside its artificial reporting range.
In March 2026, there were 40,990 earthquakes. Of interest is that there are two earthquakes with magnitudes exceeding 7, and 16 with magnitudes between 6 and 7.0. While overall activity is moderately elevated in March 2026, the higher-magnitude events are comparable to those in months with much higher activity.
