The Signs data for February 2026 is consistent with our expectations of a gradual increase in trends through the first half of this year.
Over the years, there has been a consistent pattern: fireballs are lower in January through June, then increase substantially in July through December. This pattern remains consistent, but we’re seeing a significant difference between February 2025 and February 2026.
The most stunning trend is more visual than statistical. Later in this article, we’ll present a series of Nemesis Collection images for July 2025 through February 2026.
The bottom line for these two trends is that the Nemesis flyby is undeniable at this point, no matter how many cockeyed explanations trolls and debunkers throw at it. With that in mind, let’s get into the numbers and the observation images.
February 2026 Fireballs
Fireballs are reported worldwide, and the American Meteor Society is the primary source for this dataset in North America.
AMS Multistate / Country Fireballs
Multistate/country fireballs cross the borders of multiple states and countries. This is a critical category in the dataset because these fireballs must travel long distances to receive reports from across large geographic areas. We refer to these types of fireballs as “skimmers” because they exhibit flat trajectories.
February 2026 ranked third in this dataset, with a clear statistical margin, outperforming the results for the same period last year. However, the margin is thin but falls within our expectations for this period.

AMS Huge Event Fireballs
It’s common for Multistate/Country Fireballs to be reported as major events because a fireball is considered major when 100 or more eyewitnesses report it. We call them “plungers” because they have a steep trajectory.
February 2026 is significantly higher than during this period last year; thus, 2026 ties with 2023 and 2024 for first place.
AMS Monthly Total Fireballs
The monthly total fireballs are the most critical category in this dataset, and December 2025 showed a significant uptick, bringing it significantly ahead of the previous three years.
The monthly numbers for February 2026 show a steady increase trend dating back to 2024. When we see statistically significant increases like this, we know we’re seeing a solid trend.

Yearly AMS Fireball Totals
The total number of fireballs for February 2026 is equal to the first ten months of 2011.
I asked JP Jones about this, and he reviewed our data library and responded as follows. “In 2011, AMS was just starting out as a repository for people to report fireballs. It wasn’t until after the whole 2012 hype that the reporting really started to have relative meaning. Now, January 2026 is double that of January 2018.”
Nemesis Collection – July 2025 to February 2026
Below are two sun observation images from around the world, for the period July 2025 to February 2026. These are samples from our Nemesis Collection, which currently has 287 images from the last eight months.

What is sad about these images is that, due to Internet suppression and censorship, they are getting far fewer views than they did ten years ago. John Read, a Yowusa Observations moderator for our Telegram research channel, reports that images he finds are often scrubbed after they are posted, as though they were never there in the first place. This does not diminish the fact that these observations are undeniable, but proves they are suppressed.
USGS vs. VOLCANO DISCOVERY 2026 YTD
Volcano Discovery is a recognized news portal for earthquake and volcano updates. Volcano Discovery is an adventure tour operator that conducts geotours and volcano tours worldwide, in collaboration with trusted partners. We report data from the USGS and Volcano Discovery, enabling you to view the suppression of data that our government has been conducting for several years.
We view Volcano Discovery as the most credible earthquake reporting agency on the Internet these days, and the drop from January to February of this year is quite remarkable and more so when compared with the USGS.

According to Volcano Discovery data, February 2026 dropped substantially, while the USGS, with its data-capping strategy, stayed inside its artifical reporing range. Nonetheless, there is something else.
In February 2026, there were 37,541 earthquakes. Of interest is that there was one earthquake with a magnitude of 7.1 and 11 earthquakes with magnitudes between 6 and 7.0. While overall activity is down in February 2026, the higher-magnitude events are comparable to those in months with much higher activity.
