Sometime after April 2001, but before Sept. 11th, 2001, Noam Chomsky gave this speech with Q&A after. I guess that it is May, but June could be correct, too. It appears that it was given somewhere in the Northeast of the USA.
Since I didn’t know the title, and none was given, I made up a fitting one. The Q&A is particularly interesting, esp. Noam’s take on the Sandinista party of Nicaragua.

The VHS tape source was, alas, non-HIFI, and had a fair amount of hiss and general distortion. Using digital noise reduction, Demucs, EQing and many experimental tricks, I managed make it pretty clean sounding, with over 55 decibels of dynamic range. Also, I went over the sound second by second, reducing or eliminating dozens of coughs, pops, clicks, etc.
For the video, I improved it slightly by messing around with the color and contrast.
