The disk-shaped object in the center of the above photo, and enlarged on the right, was recently found within a photo taken by NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter on April 29, 2012.  The object’s bright circumference makes it stand out from the surrounding terrain. Compare it to the crater to its left which looks dull and concave.
There appears to be a groove in the Mars object that is a bit like the grooved tail of the Millennium Falcon from the “Star Wars” movie. A similar groove appears in the sonar image of an anomalous object found at the bottom of the Baltic Sea in June 2011. – The editor
