2-8-26 Smiths Station, Alabama
The object resembled a falcon diving from a high altitude, but this was not a falcon. It was white as snow and had no sound, and was moving easily 30 mph towards Columbus, Georgia from my location.
The object was almost translucent and somewhat reflective because as it flew out of view it was like a shining dot in the sky. It was at 1500-2000 feet from the ground.
I am a retired combat vet that worked with drones in Iraq and this was like nothing I’ve seen. The rate of speed and lack of sound was noted were close to an airport and Fort Benning.
INVESTIGATION REPORT
On 2-8-2026 at approximately 2:48pm EST, the witness identified as M, observed a white craft flying silently above an open field near his residence in Smith’s Station, AL. The duration of the sighting was approximately 8 seconds.
Statements
On 3-1-2026 at 3:00pm PST, I interviewed M by telephone regarding his UAP sighting on 2-8-2026. M is a retired combat veteran and was a forward observer who worked with military drones and weather balloons in Iraq. M stated that it was approximately 2:48pm EST on 2-8-2026 when he was looking up in the clear sky and observed a “snow white” colored craft silently flying approximately 1500 to 2000 feet above him. M added that he has never seen anything like that craft, and he is very familiar with conventional aircraft and military/private drones.
M stated that as the craft flew over him, it appeared to be translucent with a type of haze around it. M then stated that for a quick second, he thought the craft was possibly a falcon, but that thought changed after he observed the craft “cutting through the air” and traveling approximately “Mach 1 (767mph).” M added that the craft dove from a high altitude like a “high speed boomerang” and was traveling south which happens to be the direction to Fort Benning. M added that his residence is approximately 10 miles from Fort Benning.
M stated that based on his training and experience, the craft was approximately 18 to 22 feet long, totally smooth, had no navigation lights, and left no trail of fumes. M added that it looked like light was bending around the craft, and he was sure that the blue sky was visible through the fuselage. M stated that despite the translucence and appearance of light bending around the craft, he was still able to see a structured craft. M also stated that it took the craft approximately 5 to 6 seconds to travel from horizon to horizon, and as it flew further away, it looked like a “bright dot.” NOTE: The above image is the witness rendering.
